Super skinny starlet Lindsay Lohan (spotted today in NY w/lady love Samantha Ronson for Fashion Week) has been hired as lead actress in the upcoming re-make of A Nightmare on Elm Street. The film’s producer Andrew Form is confirming the news to Just Jared.
“We were lucky to receive a call from Jason Weinberg, Lindsay’s manager,” Andrew tells JustJared.com. “He called us to tell us that Lindsay was very interested in the film and wanted to be a part of it. We called Jason back after Wesley Strick finished the script and asked if Lindsay wanted to look at the first draft. She looked it over and loved it. She thought this was the perfect vehicle for her.”
Form also shares he hired the actress without an audition. He must have seen I Know Who Killed Me!
UPDATE: Lindsay’s people are saying this story is false!
“It’s not true,” Lohan’s rep tells E!. “We don’t know where this all came from, but there’s nothing there.”
A rep for the studio, New Line, also confirms Lohan has not been cast.
