Dave Matthews releases new album title!

I just received an email from Dave Matthews letting me know the title of their upcoming studio album.

The next Dave Matthews Band studio album, scheduled for release on June 2, 2009 will be titled Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King.

Grrogrux is the nickname given to DMB saxophonist LeRoi Moore who passed away on August 19, 2008. Dave twittered a few lyrics from what I assume will be the title song from the album on Sunday.

…still here dancing with the Groo Grux King. We’ll be drinking big whiskey while we dance and sing. When I get to the end, I’m gonna end..12:08 PM Feb 22nd from twitterrific

I don’t own very many real cd’s, but I own every single cd ever released by the Dave Matthews Band. I can’t wait!
