Comedian George Lopez is getting his own late night tv show on TBS! Lopez hopes to appeal to a younger audience and have not-so-typical guests. The former sitcom star created a pilot with Eva Longoria Parker, Dane Cook and Samuel L. Jackson. Lopez sat audience members near the stage, and let them ask questions.
“I’m a pretty visible Mexican-American guy who has managed to cross over,” said Lopez, who had a six-year run with his own self-titled ABC sitcom. “I’m not a singer. I’m not Antonio Banderas. I’m a guy who came up the hard way on the street, and I speak to people who have the same life story.”
The not-yet-titled show will be produced by George and Jim Paratore who has worked on The Ellen Degeneres Show and The Bonnie Hunt Show. The show will air Monday through Thursday at 11 pm/ET on TBS, beginning in November 2009.
Congrats hermano!
