Madonna was seen touring an impoverished village in Malawi today where she is expected to begin proceedings to adopt a girl named Mercy James this week. The girl is from the same orphanage as her adopted son David Banda in 2006. The 50-year-old visited the village of Chinkhota with her daughter Lourdes.
Madonna is set to sign adoption papers in the court in Lilongwe, this week. Many groups are objecting to Madge being able to adopt the girl, using her recent divorce to Guy Ritchie and her relationships with then married Alex Rodriguez and 21-year-old Brazilian model Jesus Luz as a reason for her not being fit.
