The alt rock band, which currently consists of … frontman Billy Corgan, is on the hunt for a new drummer in the wake of original member Jimmy Chamberlin’s departure earlier this month.
And they’re doing it open casting call style!
Wannabe Pumpkins are being invited to auditions on April 10 in Los Angeles, Corgan announced on the band’s Web site on Monday.
ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz- huh? Oh. When they’re playing your songs on radio stations my parents listen to, and you haven’t had a hit in the past 10 years, you’re done. SP certainly doesn’t have the repetoire for any kind of a decent reunion tour either, thank god.

Umm, what band are you thinking of? Their last album went gold in 2008, pretty good considering CD sales are so poor…and got a 4/5 rating from Rolling Stone. Being one of the most successful bands of the 90′s I think they have plenty of material for a reunion tour. And this is coming from someone who isn’t even really a fan.
