Russell Brand has joined the mob of people protesting at the G20 Summit in London today. Though reluctant at first, he briefly spoke to Sky Reporter, Julia Reid who is live twittering at the protest.
He said: “I always come to these kind of things, I’m very interested. I am interested in learning and interested in why these people have come to this.
“I wonder what alternatives there are and I think it makes people cogent of them. I think it’s also very beautiful.”
Brand said: “[I'm here for] the same reason as everyone else. I’m just here participating.
“I’m here to observe and participate peacefully in the protest.”
Pressed further, he would only reply: “I ain’t angry. I live here.”
Over 4,000 protesters are currently protesting in London’s Financial District.
