The Office star Melora Hardin has a new gig. Melora has landed the role of female lead opposite Holt McCallany on the F/X drama pilot Lights Out.
Lights Out” centers on Patrick “Lights Out” Leary (McCallany), an aging former heavyweight boxing champion who struggles to find his identity and support his wife (Hardin), a pediatric orthopedic surgeon, and three daughters after his fighting days are over.
He gets work as a mob enforcer, collecting debts, but when he’s diagnosed with pugilistic dementia – which affects fighters that have taken too many blows to the head – he decides to step back into the ring for one more big payday before it’s too late.
Melora is not scheduled to be seen on The Office in any of the remaining episodes this season but the word is she will be seen in at least one episode next season.
Filming of the pilot of Lights Out will begin on April 15th in New Jersey.
