Happy Heroes Monday!

The amazing cast of Heroes teamed to increase autism awareness and help raise funds for autism research last night. The first ever “Heroes for Autism” event took place at the Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles. The function was hosted by The Office star Rainn Wilson and featured celebrity band, Band from TV featuring Greg Grunberg, Adrian Pasdar, Hugh Laurie, James Denton, and Bob Guiney. Special guests for the evening were Sheryl Crowe, Wendy & Lisa, and Nikka Costa.

My Miami people be on alert! The Band from TV stars will be hosting “A Concert for Charity” at the Shore Club in South Beach on May 16th. Tickets for the event start at $100 for general admission and $175 for V.I.P. admission which includes a pre-party with The Band as well as a preferred viewing area.  Don’t forget, the money is going to charity!

  1. Who Cares says:

Band from TV really needs to STOP advertising members who are NOT going to show up at their gigs. It’s very misleading and unfair to fans who travel from out of the area to see their favorite stars perform. And yes, I’m talking about Hugh Laurie and Jesse Spencer. The ONLY two reason BfTV are able to sell tickets to their events.

    • Rosy says:

You realize this was a fundraiser for Autism right? When I went to check tickets for the Miami show it clearly shows that Hugh Laurie will not be there.

I think you missed the point of the show.

  2. Who Cares says:

No, on the contrary. I know exactly what it was for. But you need to realize people travel from out of the area to see a show for certain band members. BfTV are always very coy when it comes to Hugh’s presence. Why? Because they know they would lose out on additional cash if they were to come out and say he was in another country! Hugh’s in London right now. He had NO intentions of performing last night, yet his name is in the program. That’s very misleading and not right. Running a charity doesn’t give one the right to abuse the fans’ good will.
