Our Hero: Adrian Pasdar Volume 3

bromanceMake space for me between you guys!

As Saturday draws closer, I must conclude my fabulous interview with Heroes star Adrian Pasdar. I’m thankful for all my twitter followers and dedicated readers who submitted such great questions. I hope most of you got the answers you were looking for and those of you who didn’t, I only had 30 minutes to chat to one of the most amazing actors on television today! (give or take a few minutes where I was swooning over his deep libidinous voice!)

I hope to meet many of you this Saturday at the Band from TV concert to benefit various charities. I’ve spoken to quite a few of you that already ordered their tickets and I look forward to meeting you! Those of you who have not bought them yet, what are you waiting for….Adrian to ask you himself?

I know a lot of you are anxious to hear what Adrian had to say about his bff Milo Ventimiglia. I love reading what people write about these two! All the speculation and the rumors can be put to rest soon. I will write it in my conclusion. (tomorrow or Saturday…don’t kill me!)

There is no way I could talk to one of the Petrelli brothers and not confess my undying obsession with the characters. (the actors are not too shabby either!) I told Adrian what an amazing team him and co-star Milo Ventimiglia make. You can tell how in sync these two men are in real life, we see the evidence translate to their characters.

He is just one of the greatest people I’ve ever met. We get along really well, we do a lot of stuff together off the set and its just contributed to our work on set. Our familiarity with each other and our friendship is genuine. It’s a great place to be. Whenever we’re together there’s always something that’s gonna happen.

As a result of this magnificent chemistry we get some of those youtube video’s also!!

I did ask him directly about their alleged romance but we can leave that for the conclusion!

Adrian loves his co-stars. After working so many hours together, the cast has become a family. And you don’t want to mess with his family!

Sometimes you just get with people that you really get along with and that you have a great respect and admiration for and that’s just one of these situations. From the very beginning this cast has really supported each other, been friendly and open, there are no secrets, there’s no BS, there’s no anybody competing against each other. We’re all collective parts of the same show. We’re trying to help it all along, we need each others support.

Whether I’m having lunch with Hayden or going for a bike ride with Milo or playing in a band with Greg there is stuff that we do that keeps us connected and close. I’m extremely protective of my cast. There all different kids going through a lot of different stuff and its important to me they feel they have someone they can count on.

I’m there for them.

This brings me to a topic of these photo’s that were posted after Adrian and Hayden had lunch together at Katsuya in Hollywood. After these photo’s were published many people hinted that Adrian & Hayden must have something romantic going on because its impossible for two people to meet up for lunch without it meaning something dirty.

If you view the photo’s in the set you can clearly tell Hayden was trying to walk past the paparazzi and Adrian was being protective of her, very much like Nathan is with Claire.

Being such a tight knit family off screen, it must make it difficult when they lose a cast member.

Yeah it is, it’s tough. It’s the nature of the show. You know I’ve died every year. Its tough when anybody goes. I miss seeing Malcolm (Malcolm McDowell who played Linderman), I had a lot of great stuff with him. Of course Santiago (Santiago Cabrera who played Isaac Mendez) and Tawny (Tawney Cypress who played Simone Deveaux) from the first season and Leonard (Leonard Roberts who played D.L. Hawkins)most of all. Leonard and I hang out all the time. I just gave him a ride to the airport at 4 in the morning so you know I feel these people.

Readers Giselle and Mercedes know that Adrian is into directing. They want to know what his future plans are.

Directing is a lot of fun. It’s a different challenge directing for tv. It’s like you writing something and giving it to an editor where they have the final word. It’s like that when you direct for tv so I’ve been reluctant to step into that forum because once you finish directing it goes into the hands of the producer so its no longer yours.

Directing films is different, I’ve done that and that’s a lot of fun but that’s complete control, final cut and that’s the only way to go.

But having said that, I would to direct my friends here on Heroes because I have an appreciation and a fondness for all of them a real respect for what they do and to be on the other side of the camera will be challenging for both of us. I think we would end up with a really good product.

You heard it here first! Adrian Pasdar will direct a future episode of Heroes!

During Season 3 while Nathan and Claire are in Mexico that Nathan knows a bit of Spanish. With Adrian’s upcoming appearance here this weekend I wondered how good his Spanish skills are!

Living in Los Angeles, it would be foolish not to be able to speak a little Spanish to get around. I lived in Spain a little while and I used to speak quite fluently while I was there. But when you live there and you have to its a little different.

Hopefull we will have a chance to explore [while in Miami] I want to get some Cuban food. I can’t wait to get back down to Miami too bad its a short trip.

While in Miami, Adrian and his friends Greg Grunberg, Terri Hatcher, James Denton, Bob Guiney and Jesse Spencer will be performing with their group, Band From TV.  What they are doing is such an amazing thing.  The group makes music and performs, the donates all the proceeds to charity.

Adrian’s role in the band is to play guitar.  When did this already talented actor learn to rock out on the guitar?

I’ve played the guitar since I was a kid. I tried to get together with Greg a few times during first season with the band but it just never worked out. But this year it did.

It was just a lot of fun to be able to play with great musicians and for the causes we are able to support. It’s just a great way to support charities, to be able to play music for people and have a good amount of money go to different charities. Its a good feeling.

On behalf of his fans, I thanked him for all the great charity work that he is involved in.

Whether they are there to see us or to support the charities all the money ends up in one place not in anyone’s pocket except for the charities. So whatever gets people out to the shows, if they have a charity they love that we support or they just want to see some people they watch on tv people play some really good music. It’s a lot of fun, its an upbeat show, and one of those nights we get to interact a little bit with the people who watch us on tv, break down some walls. See people in a different light.

There have been charity specific events before. Most recently Band from TV performed to raise money for the Epilepsy Foundation, a very important charity for his co-star Greg Grunberg who’s son Jake has the disorder.

For this event, his portion of the proceeds will benefit Education in Los Angeles. But he’s been working with Ethel Kennedy widow of Robert Kennedy on “The Robert Kennedy Memorial Foundation” and he is also working with Maria Shriver’s Best Buddies and is happy to be working with the Kennedy’s.

I didn’t plan to make a Volume 4 but this post is getting long! For my conclusion, I promise the funny tidbit with Milo and the question about the video I posted here.

I’m so excited there will be a part 4. I love reading about my favorite actor. He is a quality human being in both his work life and home life. I don’t listen to any gossip about him. That’s so hard to avoid in his line of work.

  4. Denise Martinez says:

Great job! Ready for the conclusion.

  5. It’s fantastic that AP gets along with all of the cast of Heroes. I particularly thinks it’s awesome that the Midrian Express is still alive and kicking! AP and MV’s friendship really transfers itself across perfectly to the chemistry we see between Nate and Pete. Adrian is a true living treasure and I am sure we would all like to wish him well.
