Jamie Waylett who plays Vincent Crabbe in the Harry Potter movies appeared in court today in connection to his arrest for growing cannabis plants in April. Police found eight bags of cannabis and a knife during a search of a car Waylett was riding in. They then searched his mother’s house and found 10 marijuana plants.
Prosecutor Victoria Oja told City of Westminster Magistrates Court officers had initially stopped the car because they thought Waylett was taking photos of them.
She said: “He admitted purchasing seeds and growing them into plants. He confirmed it was for personal use at the time.”
Waylett, dressed in a black suit and sky-blue shirt, sat with his head bowed in the dock after admitting the offence which carries a maximum sentence of 14 years.
His lawyer pleaded with a judge not to send him to jail for the sake of his career.
Should he not have thought of his career while he was busy growing pot?
His buddy Innis who was also arrested in April, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and possession of a knife.
In 2006, Waylett was accused of snorting cocaine! What is wrong with his parents? He was growing the plants in their house!!
The duo will be arraigned on July 21st.
