Hayden Panettiere blames media for break-up
Hayden Panettiere is Company Magazine’s September 2009 cover girl. In this interview the 19-year-old opens up about her love life, her thoughts about on the paparazzi, how she feels about all the rumors written about her, how she stays in tip-top-shape, and her friendship with Paris Hilton.
The petite star blames the public and the media for the failure of her relationships.
“It’s very, very difficult and people have no idea what they do to peoples’ relationships. They destroy them. The paparazzi and the public.
“The public wants to read about your personal life, and the paparazzi give it to them by nosing into your personal life and saying things that are just not true and horrible.”
So how does she cope with the gossip?
“It depends on what it is. Sometimes things come up that need to be dealt with or damage-controlled, but if they don’t then I stick my fingers in my ears and go ‘lalalala’-I don’t care.
Does Hayden enjoy working out?
“Staying in shape is part of my job, but I’m not always the best at being diligent about working out. I try not to let it grab hold of my life.”
How does she stay grounded?
“Well, for one thing, it’s like having a bunch of big brothers on the set [of Heroes]. I am the butt of every joke in that place-I’m constantly being made fun of and having my ego smashed by them! But really it’s just the people that are around me-my family and really close friends. You become very guarded, but it also makes those people close to you so much more valuable.”
