Jude Law has become a father again! The British actor’s ex fling Samantha Burke gave birth to a little girl whom she named Sophia yesterday. She weighed in 5-lbs and 12-oz.
“Samantha Burke is overwhelmed with joy at the arrival of her beautiful and healthy baby girl, Sophia,” Burke’s rep, Eileen Koch, tells PEOPLE. “The baby and mom are doing wonderful.”
Jude Law had a brief relationship with the model/actress while he was in New York filming Sherlock Holmes last year.
Though the couple is no longer together, Law has gone on record saying he will be “fully supportive” of the child. Though it may not be the ideal situation let’s hope for the sake of the child these two can work things out.
Jude is currently starring in Hamlet on Broadway to rave reviews!

Amber, he will be in the new Sherlock Holmes movie coming out at Xmas. He’ll also be in Repo Men coming out next year in April I think. There’s a weird artsy movie called Rage that’s somehow released on cell phones. I don’t get that.
He’s also in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, also coming out around Christmas, which is Heath Ledger’s last film and stars Jude, Johnny Depp, and Colin Farrell “taking over” the parts of Heath’s character that he couldn’t finish.
He’s also currently starring in Hamlet on Broadway, and I’ll be going to NYC in October to see it!!! Looking forward to it very much, it was sold out in London before they brought is to the US. Audiences seem to love it!
you must see jude in hamlet. he’s giving the performance of the century…..it’s at the broadhurst theatre in new york. jude, robert downey, jr. and rachel mcadams will be out xmas day in sherlock holmes. i’m sure jude will do the right thing by this new addition. he is an absolute and present father of his three children by ex wife sadie frost. he takes them everywhere….they adore him….but then who doesn’t????
Really cracks me up how you refer to this slag as a past “relationship” and that they’re “no longer together”. They were NEVER together; she was a two-night screw buddy. Nothing more than a sperm depository with an agenda to score a nice 18 year payday from poor rich guy like Jude. Looks like she’s achieved her goal, ’cause now she’ll be getting 18 years of extortion fees from Jude. I don’t feel sorry for her or the bastard she engineered with her scheme. I feel sorry for Jude.
You feel bad for Jude? No one told him to have unprotected sex with someone you claim he had a fling with.

Therefore, I do not feel sorry for him. He should have been smarter than to have unprotected intercourse with a woman he barely knew.
So if she was a gold digger, which I do not deny to believe, he should have been smart enough to bag it. Hopefully this will teach him a lesson. If it hasn’t yet, he has another 18 years to learn from it.
Mind you…I am a fan of Mr. Law but you can’t make him a victim here.
