Kristen Bell defends Russell Brand!
It seems that the topic dujour at last night Couples Retreat movie premiere was Russell Brand! Dame Helen Mirren gave him a shout out and his former co-star Kristen Bell had some nice things to say about him as well.
“I might be the only woman in the world who speaks about him like this but Russell is not who he says he is,” says Kristen. “He wants you to believe that he’s a womanizer but all guys secretly are.
“Maybe it’s because I’m as sassy as he is and I drew my line very quickly, but he was extremely respectful to me. We had to do love scenes and he was always concerned that the sheet was pulled up far enough.
“If I needed water he would get up and get it so I didn’t have to get out of bed in my underwear in front of the crew. He was very nice. He just has this game he plays.”
Is that a collective “sigh” I just heard from everyone?
