If you have been wanting to hear some scoop about what went wrong between Usher and his ex Tameka, your wait is nearly over. The R & B star opens up about his failed 2-year marriage in a new song entitled, Papers due out on his upcoming album Raymond vs. Raymond.
Check out the lyrics:
“For you I gave my heart and turned my back against the world/ ‘Cause you were my girl, girl, girl,” he sings on the chorus. “I done damn near lost my mama, I done been through so much drama/ I done turned into the man I never thought I’d be/ I’m ready to sign them papers.”
Songwriter Sean Garrett told MTV News he wrote the song before Usher and Foster broke up and is “not based on real life” but come on!!! “I done damn near lost my mama” shows it obviously IS based on real life!!
The song continues….
“I ain’t afraid to say I got needs, but the only time you here for me/ Is when the bottles are popping and everything is sweet.”
Though no firm date has been set for release, rumor has it we could grab this new album by end of the year.
