Russell Brand and Simon Amstell stirred up some excitement on Sunday when they were spotted meeting up for coffee at a cafe in Brand’s London neighborhood of Hampstead. Other patrons looked on as the two famous comedians chatted and hugged.
In 2008, Brand taped an episode of Nevermind the Buzzcocks with then-host Amstell, but the episode was never aired due to the Brand/Ross “Sachsgate” scandal. Come on, BBC, we’re still waiting! Let us see these two work their comedy magic together.
Brand has just announced three UK gigs in support of his charity Focus 12, while Amstell is in the midst of his own UK standup tour.
