Kristen Bell premieres Astro Boy

Kristen Bell attended the Los Angeles Premiere of the animated film Astro Boy at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood last night. The Couples Retreat actress lends her vocal talents for the lead female character, Cora. She is a smart, resourceful girl who is a tough but caring den mother to a gang of children who teams up with Astro to help save Metro City.

Kristen really enjoyed her work on this film. I have heard others talk about the perks of working on an animated film, and here is Bell’s confirmation as to why!

“Very literally I would show up in my pajamas, even if I had to record at three or four in the afternoon I would change back into my pyjamas just on principle because if you have a job you can show up to on pajamas I say go for it,” she confessed.

“It’s wonderfully comfortable,” she added.

But there always have to be a downside. She had to work pretty much alone in a both and talk to herself!

“It was a little bit strange to be in a recording booth with no one else. Having to converse with someone that’s not there is pretty frustrating

“The hardest thing was doing the action sequences because you’re pretty much standing in a room by yourself karate chopping a wall, going ‘hwah’, ‘hwah’,” she said.

Also in attendance was her longtime boyfriend, Dax Sheppard.
