Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner start the whirlwind!
Earlier today we saw pictures of Kristen Stewart headed into LAX. Now, it looks like Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are headed out as well. The three lead actors of the upcoming New Moon film are starting a whirlwind promotional tour which will likely be taking up every waking moment of their lives for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Even though New Moon comes out nationwide on November 20th, the stars will still be promoting into December!
Kristen and Taylor are likely on their way to Brazil today, and then straight to Mexico City on Monday. Robert is heading out to Japan with New Moon director Chris Weitz for an appearance Tuesday. Finally, they’ll be back in LA for the weekend. No time to rest much as the next week they’ll be in: Paris, London, Madrid, and Munich. Meanwhile, other members of the Cullen clan, as well as several of the Quileute wolfpack, will be tour Nordstrom department stores and Hot Topics around the country. Everyone will be back in LA for the New Moon premiere on November 16. Still no time for rest! The next several days (including the day of the premiere) Kristen, Rob, and Taylor will be filming shows like The Jay Leno Show, The Tonight Show with Conan O’brien, Regis & Kelly, the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Ellen Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, and The Today Show. Whew, we’re not done though! On November 17th Taylor will be in Knoxville, TN for a special New Moon charity premeire. Ashley Greene will be filming the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon and the Jimmy Kimmel Show (on which Rob, Kristen, & Taylor will be appearing on earlier in the month), Michael Sheen will be on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Peter Facinelli and Nikki Reed will also have appearances on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. That’s all though… Nothing more… As if there were anything else to be done!
It looks like to me the whole world is already screaming for the showing of New Moon, for Kristen, Rob, and Taylor, and the entire cast actually. We’ve read the books and are ready to see the movie regardless. Is all this promoting really necessary?
I know, it seems like overkill. I’m sure Summit thinks if it’s worth a few more tickets purchased or posters bought, they’ll send out their troops!
At least it’s something nice for the fans, having the stars visit their cities. I wish they’d head closer to my neck of the woods.
do you guys know if they will be coming to taiwan to promote the movie?
Marcella – To my knowledge (which is VERY limited) they will not be promoting in Taiwan. It looks like they are booked solid between now and the American release of the film. Since it doesn’t come out until two weeks later, December 4th, in Taiwan it is possible that they may make it over there, but I don’t think they have announced any plans to yet.
