Will Russell Brand cut his trademark locks?
All the extra time Russell Brand has been spending at the gym is definitely paying off! The comely comedian was spotted departing from his London home in a leather jacket this morning.
Russ has spoken out about his famous locks and why he is planning on cutting them soon.
He said: “I can’t keep always playing long-haired, scruffy men, otherwise my career would be limited.”
So far he has been able to work that famous hairdo on the big screen in the 2008 hit comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall and its spin off Get Him to the Greek due in theaters next summer. But if he has other aspirations he might have to clipping!
He quipped: ”I was hoping one day to play Napoleon, but I can’t play Napoleon as this shaggy-haired, bearded raconteur.
”But I did also want to play Rasputin, the monk, so that’ll be good, I can look like this.”
The barber might be sharpening his scissors very soon though. He is set to play Arthur in the comedy remake of a drunken playboy who stands to lose a wealthy inheritance when he falls for a woman, his family doesn’t like.
He said: Arthur is still an alcoholic billionaire playboy and I’ll be getting a bit of a haircut for that. You have to move on. I have dreams of my hair being short and I wake up in a Samson-like panic, but I think I’m ready for transformation.”
I have no doubt Brand will look just as sexy with a shorter do if not sexier!
