With the upcoming release of his fourth studio project “Battle Studies,” John Mayer has taken a slightly different approach to this record, including its core contents. Listen as Mayer discusses his progress thru his projects, as well as him as an artist in general.
“The part of me that’s essential to writing music and making music is not only still there, but I think has grown even more than the guy who made ‘Continuum,’” Mayer explains. “That’s proof you’re growing up, because I can now look at what I originally thought was a perfect record and tell you what I want to add to it.”
Mayer has grown leaps and bounds since his work on such albums as “Room For Squares” and “Continuum,” and has proven to willingly take any risk necessary in order to expand himself musically. I am anxiously awaiting the release of his latest work “Battle Studies,” which hits stores November 17.
