Sweet Susan Boyle was spotted catching the Eurostar out of Paris yesterday. It looks like she’s managed to pick up some beauty tips from the fabulous folks at Harper’s Bazaar who recently gave her a glamorous makeover and then photographed her for their glossy mag.
The singing sensation opened up recently and spoke openly about her promise to her mother that helped catapult her to where she is now.
She explains: “I had promised my mum I would do something with my life just before she died – that I’d do something with my singing. So I applied for Britain’s Got Talent.”
The 48-year-old even chose I Dreamed A Dream, from musical Les Miserables, for her audition on the hit ITV1 show in honour of her mum Bridget, who died at 91.
Susan says: “We’d seen a soloist singing on the TV just before she passed and I said, ‘Is that what you want me to do, Mum?’
“She said, ‘Yes.’ She had a good belief that I could do it. So I decided to do something about it.
“I couldn’t straight away because the bereavement hit me hard.
“But I’m getting over that slowly and putting my promise into practice.”
She is truly an inspiration for us all and I’m so happy things managed to work out for her. I’m sure she knows her mom is extremely proud of her.
