Johnny Depp crowned Sexiest Man Alive

People Magazine announced this morning Johnny Depp has earned the 2009 title of Sexiest Man Alive for the 2nd time!!

The man who single-handedly made being a pirate alluring also owned the title in 2003.

Kate Coyne, senior editor at People, said on CBS’ “Early Show” that Depp has achieved an almost “iconic status in terms of sexiness.”

Says Coyne: “Johnny Depp was someone who was sexy 10 years ago. He’ll be sexy 10 years from now. He’s someone who appeals to multiple generations of women.”

The 46 year old, father of two joins the ranks of fellow two time winners like Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

Also mentioned in the special edition of the mag is our favorite up-and-comer Matt Bomer from USA hit White Collar, The Proposal star Ryan Reynolds, Jarhead star Jake Gyllenhaal, Hangover star Bradley Cooper, British soccer stud David Beckham, French fox Gilles Marini, Star Trek’s John Cho, and big-screen vamire Robert Pattinson.
