Johnny Depp crowned Sexiest Man Alive

People Magazine announced this morning Johnny Depp has earned the 2009 title of Sexiest Man Alive for the 2nd time!!

The man who single-handedly made being a pirate alluring also owned the title in 2003.

Kate Coyne, senior editor at People, said on CBS’ “Early Show” that Depp has achieved an almost “iconic status in terms of sexiness.”

Says Coyne: “Johnny Depp was someone who was sexy 10 years ago. He’ll be sexy 10 years from now. He’s someone who appeals to multiple generations of women.”

The 46 year old, father of two joins the ranks of fellow two time winners like Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

Also mentioned in the special edition of the mag is our favorite up-and-comer Matt Bomer from USA hit White Collar, The Proposal star Ryan Reynolds, Jarhead star Jake Gyllenhaal, Hangover star Bradley Cooper, British soccer stud David Beckham, French fox Gilles Marini, Star Trek’s John Cho, and big-screen vamire Robert Pattinson.

Rihanna rocked London!

At around 8pm GMT the lights went dark at the Brixton Academy in London for the highly anticipated stage return of Barbadian babe Rihanna last night.

She waltzed on to the stage wearing extremely little outfit (a black and silver leotard with a mask over her eyes –it was very erm – cheeky!) She opened up the show with ‘Wait Is Ova’ – very apt and then settled down in to a throne like chair in the middle of the stage for a very dark and sophisticated performance of her new single ‘Russian Roulette’. With a stage full of mannequins and broken TV sets it was all quite reminiscent of the hit Disturbia video. It seems Rihanna has gotten very grown up!

GQ’s Men of the Year Revealed

And the votes are in. The 2009 GQ Men of the Year are as follows: star NFL quarterback, Tom Brady; the hilarious handful of hunks from The Hangover, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms; Star Trek’s, Chris Pine;  films all-time fave bad boy cowboy, Clint Eastwood; and last but not least, our fearless leader, President Barack Obama.

More specifically, the awards are listed like this: Comeback of the Year, Tom Brady; Funny Men of the Year, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms; Breakout of the Year, Chris Pine; Bad Ass of the Year, Clint Eastwood; and Leader of the Year, Barack Obama.

The Covers will be available November 24.

On The Scene: NCIS: Los Angeles with LL Cool J & Chris O’Donnell

NCIS: Los Angeles hotties LL Cool J, and Chris O’Donnell were spotted filming out on Venice Beach (seems to be a popular location for this show). These two have taken Tuesday nights by storm! NCIS:LA is the youngest show ever to get picked up for syndication! After only seven weeks on the air, CBS sold NCIS:LA to USA where it will join it’s big brother, the original NCIS.

What do you think? NCIS is the most watched show on television, providing an excellent lead in to is new spin-off. Do you think these characters can keep up with the original? It’s hard to recreate the dynamic between Gibbs & his team, but Hetty sure is giving it her best!

Beyonce and Lady Gaga Team Up for the Fellas

Okay, I’ll be the first to say that Lady Gaga, she freaks me out like no other. Watching Paranormal Activity is somewhat soothing in comparison to Gaga’s “innovative” look and performances, but since teaming up with one of the hottest chicks in the game, Beyonce, she’s gaining points in my book.

If you strip the talented singer of her Edward scissor hands-like outfits and performances where she is prancing around stage with fake blood covering her body from head to toe, she’s actually a fairly attractive lady. Now pair up a more toned down version of Gaga  in a music video with the oh so stunning BK, and you’ve got a home run. I mean, that thing is good! Just put it this way, after watching these two female superstars strutting it up in their video “Video Phone,” I had to immediately douse myself with ice and then preceded to take a cold shower. True Story, but don’t just take my word for it. See it for yourself!

It’s official, Miss Gaga. You’re okay in my book.

Brittany Murphy takes flight!

Wow where has Brittany Murphy been? The star of Clueless and Just Married was photographed kissing her hubby Simon Monjack goodbye as she was departing from Los Angeles International Airport today.

Looks like Brittany gets to keep custody of the couples precious pup while she is away.

She is set to begin filming the new Rene Eram romantic comedy entitled, Shrinking Charlotte.

A camera shy Christina Aguilera was spotted on set of her new movie Burlesque in Los Angeles today.

In her film debut, Aguilera will play small town girl with a big voice who moves to Los Angeles and finds romance and stardom at a new-fangled striptease club. The film was inspired by Bob Fosse’s
Cabaret.

The movie co-stars Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell, Alan Cumming, Julianne Hough, Dita Von Teese and Cher!
