The “Empire State of Mind” duo of Alicia Keys and Jay-Z were spotted backstage at the World Aids Day Charity Concert presented by American Express on December 1st in New York City.
More than just a pretty face. More than a phenomenal artistic talent. Alicia Keys has a heart of gold. Being forever changed by her visit to Africa in 2002, Keys’ intense passion for those less fortunate has motivated her to the point where she insist on bettering the lives of a people not so lucky. The singer/songwriter is giving five lucky people the opportunity of a lifetime, to travel to South Africa and inspire the native people to in turn change the world. The contestant winners themselves will undoubtedly return with a renewed sense of thankfulness and appreciation for those things that are taken for granted. Many times, the subjects who are meant to receive the inspiration, wind up doing some inspiring of their own.
