On the Scene: Natalie Portman
Golden Globe winning actress Natalie Portman has begun work on her latest film Black Swan in New York City this morning. The petite beauty was surrounded by on-lookers as she shot scenes in Lincoln Center.
Portman stars as a veteran ballerina who can’t tell if her rival is real or part of her delusion in this cutthroat ballet business. Her rival Lilly is being played by Max Payne beauty Mila Kunis. Early buzz has claimed this Darren Aronofsky thriller will be “very intense” and will include a possible sex scene between Portman and Kunis!
She says she is working hard to break her “cute girl” image and is trying to get more adult roles.
She explained: “I’m trying to find roles that demand more adulthood from me because you can get stuck in a very awful cute cycle as a woman in film, especially being such a small person. I’m a really late bloomer. In my own life, it’s only been the last couple of years where I’m like, I’m an adult.”
These gorgeous gals will co-star alongside Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder and Barbara Hershey. It is expected to hit theaters some time next year.
