Madonna replaced by Louis Vuitton
After 2 campaigns, Louis Vuitton has found a younger gal to replace Madonna as their cover girl! Dutch model Lara Stone is set to take up duties for the label’s 2010 spring-summer campaign.
Louis Vuitton’s artistic director Marc Jacobs opens up about his choice.
“Because the collection loosely took its cues from the idea of the New Age traveler, we decided to create a green, outdoorsy set that would evoke a spirit of peace and love. To model the clothes, we wanted a modern, iconic, sexy beauty … It had to be Lara Stone,” he said.
“It was a wonderful shoot. Doves were flying, the atmosphere was sexy and magical, and the result is a set of images that are desirable, colorful and, of course, luxurious,” Jacobs added.
Lara is having a fabulous year. Not only was she was named one of Forbes highest paid models for the year 2009 but she is also dating one of my favorite funnymen David Walliams! Check her out on the cover of French Vogue.
Madge is so busy I doubt she will mind.
