Fellas, you can now breathe that long awaited sigh of relief, for notorious playboy, John Mayer, vows he is hanging up his dating shoes for a while.
The multi- Grammy Award winner had this to say during his most recent visit on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show.
“Yeah, I’m a little freaked out about dating. So, I’m just going to let time pass and just do my thing.”
His star studded “line-up” that would make any Hollywood hunk drool is primarily what got him to call it quits for a bit. Among his past flings are Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, Minka Kelly, and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Now that’s quite the roll call if I do say so myself. Here, John explains a little about his past flings and where his mindset is now.
“For some reason who ever I date has been famous for a while. I can’t sit here and be like, ‘Oh, please let me live my life in private with this famous person who’s been around for 15 years. The last thing you want is to see me doing is bashing my head going, ‘I’m shocked, that I’m being followed right now.’ … I’m just going to hunker down. 2010 is a peaceful year for me no matter what I do.”
All I know is that on occasion I find myself texting that special someone when she is out with the ladies for a night on the town, asking her if “the Mayer” has swooped in. Now while you may think this is slightly paranoid, look through the guys little black book, and then tell me you wouldn’t try and lock your lady in the house too. The man is truly capable of anything. Thank you, John. From all us less fortunate, less skilled men out there. We feel honored to obtain our relationships for just a bit longer.
