Courtney Love is a hot mess. She’s gone on a major rant against her daughter Frances Bean Cobain, on Facebook no less! She is not a happy camper since losing custody of her on Friday. The love child of deceased rocker Kurt Cobain and the Hole singer was placed under temporary guardianship of Wendy O’Connor, Kurt’s mother, and Kimberly Dawn Cobain, his sister,
“I hate to sound cold but any kid of mine who pulls this s**t has lost her position…” Love, 45, writes. “She was deceptive, she lied and she’s lying to herself… My daughter is not always honest.”
“You could’ve asked for emancipation…” Love goes on. “You realize this will put you in juvenile family circus three times in your little life?”
She also addressed some of Frances’s concerned friends:
“To Frannie’s worried friends: she’s not stupid. She trusted the wrong people and got snookered into a circus. She’ll figure out what a ridiculous mess she’s in and she’s smart. She’ll have to work really hard, and she’s not used to it. But I have faith. She’s my daughter and I love her. Cruelty is not what she’s about.
Though no reason was given for Courtney’s loss of guardianship, it’s pretty clear that maybe the 17-year-old wanted a little stability in her life. Whatever the truth is here, I wish Frances luck with her new situation and pray Courtney would reach out to her daughter in a more private fashion so as not to cause her any unnecessary pain.
