On the Scene: David Tennant & Jerry O’Connell
Here are the first pictures of David Tennant and Jerry O’Connell as they film scenes of the new NBC comedy Rex is Not Your Lawyer on a golf course in Los Angeles today. Just by looking at these shots I’m getting super excited about this show. But is there anything that Tennant can touch that won’t turn to gold?
O’Connell joined the show as a replacement for Heroesstar Sendhil Ramamurthy who had to give up his part due to scheduling conflicts. These “conflicts” have lead everyone to believe Heroes may actually get another season! I will keep my fingers crossed!
The UK’s favorite star of Doctor Whowill play the role of Rex Alexander, a top Chicago litigator who begins suffering panic attacks and takes up coaching clients to represent themselves in court. O’Connell will play Rex’s friend and colleague.

Good Lord, David Tennant is looking even more hot than usual, if that’s possible. You are very lucky in America… Anyone who hasn’t fallen in love with him already is certainly going to after this. This show sounds fab and I hope it’s a massive success for him.
I have to agree that David looks even hotter than usual! His charm is all over these pictures. I’m very excited to see the pilot and I am sure it will get picked up.
Woo hoo!
I love David Tennant! Dr. Who is one of my favorite shows! I’m going to miss him there. Interested in how he’ll do in this new comedy. I don’t see how he could top the role of the Doctor though. Even though it’s an old series, seems like that role was tailor made for him!
Yes, you’re absolutely right.. his charm is very much evident in the photos, along with his versatility.. his stance, demeanour and expressions are different again to everything else he has ever done. To have this much effect through photos is something special. There was never any chance this man would be typecast, he’s just far too incredible an actor for that.
Have you seen some of his other works? Everything I have seen so far always seems tailor fit for him. Granted – I LOVED his version of The Doctor!! Casanova, Hamlet, Blackpool…… (I’m not writing his resume here.) He’s spot on and Brilliant in any role!
