Actor Charlie Sheen is finding himself in some familiar waters. The Two and a Half Men star was arrested and thrown in the slammer with a charge of domestic violence against his wife Brooke Mueller in Aspen, Colorado.
TMZ is reporting that both Sheen and his wife were under the influence of alcohol when the call to police came in.
Sources say authorities gave both Charlie and Brooke blood alcohol tests. Brooke registered a .13 while Charlie registered a .04.
We’re also told Brooke recanted her story to a female officer just before the bail hearing, telling the cop she was drunk when she made the 911 call. Nevertheless, law enforcement sources say police will still pursue the case — at least for now.
He is currently out on an $8,500 bond.
Charie is no stranger to breaking the law. In 1990 Sheen “accidentally” shot his former girlfriend Kelly Preston. And there were also allegations of abuse from his 2nd wife Denise Richards.
You gotta be a little crazy to marry a man like this. Sometimes us women think we are going to change a man that is really never going to change.
Sheen’s Los Angeles-based spokesman, Stan Rosenfield released the following statement:
“Don’t be misled by appearances. Appearances and reality can be as different as night and day. It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion.”
The 44-year-old is due in court next on Feb. 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m
