Fans walked out of last nights performance of Keira Knightley’s stage premiere The Misanthrope with their thumbs way up! The play, which doesn’t open to the public until next week, is an updated version of the Molière classic.
In this Martin Crimp revised version, the stage is set in modern day London instead of 17th century Paris. Knightley plays the role of a flirty American film star whom famous playwright Alceste (played by Band of Brothers star Damian Lewis) can’t help being drawn to – pushes the production into a different league of artistic interest.

Weep no more all ye domestic lovers of British rock royalty Muse, for they have just announced six US stops that have been added to their tour.
Known for their exhilarating antics in ways of electrifying audiences, they guys will kick off their stateside gigs on February 27 in Atlanta and the finale being on April 5 in Salt Lake City. Also in the mix is a show at the coveted Madison Square Garden, one the the most prestigious venues in the States.

America’s Sexiest Man Alive Johnny Depp made an amazing arrival into the Narita International Airport on December 8, 2009 in Narita, Chiba, Japan. Is it possible that Johnny has even more adoring fans in the East? I’m sure it would be a hefty competition!
The superstar is currently in Japan to promote his film Public Enemies co-starring Christian Bale. Over here in the United States, it was just released on DVD today but in Japan it will hit theaters on December 12th.

In one of her most conservative outfits, Lady Gaga met her Royal Highness The Queen of England in Blackpool, England last night. She donned a cherry red PVC dress with an Elizabethan collar during her performance at the Royal Variety Show held in the seaside city.
Also performing at the event was Canadian crooner Michael Bublé, X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke and teeny bopper Miley Cyrus.
In true Gaga fashion, she gave an amazing performance. She was suspended sat a top a swing suspended 30 feet in the air as she played a Dali-styled piano held up on giant stilts while performing the song “Speechless”.

In a day and age where CD sales are at an all time low and illegal downloads are skyrocketing, music artists are desperately searching for the answer as to how they can make any significant profit from their albums. Well, most artists I should say. Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has other plans, however. He vows to release their upcoming LP “Teargarden by Kaleidyscope” for no cost.
The debut track “Song for A Son” was unveiled today, and can be downloaded for free at Spinner.com. The entire work will have taken three years to come together and will contain a 44 song track list. Three years worth of audio mastery just given away to the public. Now that is the true essence and beauty of the art.

The always-hilarious and engaging Russell Brand paid a visit on Monday morning to two of the UK’s biggest daytime shows, GMTV with Lorraine Kelly, and Loose Women. Russell chatted with Lorraine about his girlfriend (Katy Perry, in case you’ve been living under a rock), his cat Morrissey (who now has a cat passport and can travel the world with Russell), and his new DVD, Scandalous: Live at the O2. He also gave Lorraine a little kiss under the mistletoe. Aww.
