British actor Clive Owen is ready to quit acting and focus more on theater work! Say it isn’t so!!

After a fruitful career in film he has a pretty incredible resume including roles in Gosford Park, The Bourne Identity, Closer, Sin City, and Elizabeth: The Golden Age, and Children of Men just to name a few.

He spoke with German TV Station Tele5 about his future ambitions.

He said: “I’m actually pretty sure that this will happen soon. I would imagine I’d have to stop the films in order to concentrate entirely on my stage career. I’ve always played theatre roles.”

“I often have to pinch myself to make me realize what I achieved. I’ve been working with the greatest people; I appreciate that very much and am very happy about it.

“But perhaps you should, on the peak of your career think about the fact that it probably can’t always go on like this and that there are other things that make you happy, too.”

Owen graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1987. Then he went on to working on stage in a few William Shakespeare plays including Romero & Juliet where he co-starred with his future wife Sarah-Jane Fenton.
