Just like you – I had to prepare for my New Years Eve party and was looking for some good music to blast around the house. After I bought a few songs from iTunes, a little voice shouted really loud in my head about how this is recession time and I couldn’t spend a buck a song when there had to be an alternative.
So I started doing what I do best and went into the web to find some good news, then as if the NYE ball dropped on my laptop – BOOM! Audials came to the rescue. Audials was a bit complicated, but just like Google it lets me search for songs and record them for free.
I checked out their site to make sure it was legal and it all seems to be in order. Their page on legal information explained that they are not a P2P nor do they break DMCA laws. So I gave it a try and I loved it.
