After playing a hero on the NBC drama Heroes, it shouldn’t surprise you that the Dominican born beauty is now playing a hero in real life.
Veteran COVERGIRL spokesmodel Queen Latifah and their newest spokesmodel and the face of their Clean Makeup’s new Sensitive Skin formula Dania Ramirez attended the press conference on January 5th to announce the “COVERGIRL Clean Makeup for Clean Water Campaign” – a partnership with the non-profit cause, Children’s Safe Drinking Water (CSDW). CSDW is an organization dedicated to addressing the critical, global need for clean, safe drinking water.
Dania returned to her native Dominican Republic in September to help deliver a year’s supply of clean drinking water to villages in need as part of the new campaign.
“I was thrilled to be back in my home country to help COVERGIRL deliver clean drinking water,” she says. “I know firsthand that a shortage of safe drinking water can be a matter of life or death. When I was growing up, at times we had to boil our water before drinking it so we didn’t get sick or worse. That’s why I’m so proud to be part of the COVERGIRL Clean Makeup for Clean Water Campaign and to help save lives in my home country and other areas of need. I know first hand that this is a problem in many of our Latin American countries. When I have visited my mothers native Peru, we too have had to boil water in order for it to be fit for our consumption. With all the amazing technology and breakthroughs that are occurring everyday, it surprises me that this is still an issue around the world.

OMG! The only reason I got hooked on Heroes, the show hasn’t been the same since she’s been gone. Diana doesn’t even needs makeup she’s naturally gorgeous!
