Orlando Bloom seemed to be in a chipper mood as he made his way through Park City, Utah during the Sundance Film Festival on January 25, 2010. He gave the camera a little smirk as he walked through the streets in a colorful scarf and a scully cap.
The folks over at Extra had a quick chat with the 33-year-old star and confirmed he would not be coming back for the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean set to be released in 2011.
Bloom tells “Extra’s” Terri Seymour that “Will’s swimming with the fishes.”
When asked if he could come back Bloom replied, “Not this time. No. No. No.”
But we do have a bit of good news. He opened up to MTV about returning to his role as Legolas from The Lord of the Rings trilogy when Guillermo Del Toro directs the highly anticipated The Hobbit.
“I shot an e-mail to Pete and I said, ‘You know, if you want me to don the blonde wig and pointy ears again, I’d be honored to do it,’” Bloom revealed. “He said, ‘Well, we’ll see.’ They’re very, very hush-hush.”
Though there would be no need for Legolas in this prequel he could play the role of his father.
