Filming of Daydream Nation was in full force today. Co-stars Josh Lucas and Kat Dennings shot several scenes of the romantic drama in Vancouver, Canada.
I’m so glad to see Josh filming a new movie. I swear, the last thing I saw him in was in the 2006 film Poseidon which I was not very fond of.
This Michael Goldbach film follows Kat’s character who is a disaffected high school senior who ends up in an isolated Canadian hamlet with her widowed father. She assuages her boredom by getting into an affair with a teacher, as well as a more promising intimate relationship with a local druggie.
Also on set was co-star Landon Liboiron.

I second you on that. She looks fabulous.
I guess this question is for the credited photographer of the set stills Bauer Griffin: What was the thinking behind 11 out of the 14 set photographs being headless. If you don’t mind I’d seriously like to an intelligent explanation to this as there is something here I am seriously not getting – perhaps a new style, a joke maybe. I’ve been a photographer for 25 years so maybe you’ll come up with something I’ve not heard before because as it stands now I don’t see why the photographs would be included with the article at all. Help me out here…thanks. Jack
Jack,
If you click on the headless pictures, they open up so you can see the whole picture. Hope this helps you out.
Thanks Rosy – I knew there had to be a good reason but I wasn’t coming up with it. I guess while we’re at it I guess the right thing to do would be to admit to feeling slightly foolish about the whole thing. Anyway, nice article Rosy. Josh really put out and did tremendous work and Kat was well, I’ve never seen anyone like her…she’s astonishing. Truly looking forward to the release of this one…. and nice to ‘meet’ you Rosy – I’d heard good things.
