Matt Bomer & Tim DeKay: No plans to join Twitter

I’m on the phone right now with White Collar stars Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay. So many of you wanted to know if either of these lovely men had any plans to join the social networking site Twitter.

Sadly I have to report that neither star has an immediate plans to join the popular site. Neither fellow feels that what they are doing on a day-to-day basis is good enough to post out to the world. Tim said he’d be updating with plans to little league or do things with his children.

But I think Matt is absolutely wrong. I’d love to hear about him waking up, checking himself out in the mirror and telling us what he see’s! Maybe a twitpic or two….or ten?! Sadly I don’t think I could convince him.

For now you can follow the shows creator Jeff Easton , co-stars Tiffani Thiessen and Natalie Morales, and of course the main feed for the show WhiteCollarUSA.

Stay tuned for a full transcript of my conversation with these two fabulous actors.

Ke$ha celebrates chart win with some shopping

Before writing up this post, I had never heard of Ke$ha. Ok I’m lying. I had heard of her but had not take the time out to listen to her hit song TiK ToK that helped her album Animal climb up the charts to #1 beating out the six week winner Susan Boyle.

To celebrate, she went shopping at Manhattan clothing store, Ibiza yesterday.

So in order to write up a proper post, I checked it out and I loved it! Her vocals took me back to my younger years when I had Salt n Peppa and Uncle Luke blasting out of my stereo. It mostly reminded me of the 1987 song by JJ Fad entitled Super Sonic. God I loved that song.

The 22-year-old from Nashville made her breakthrough on the scene in early 2009 after appearing on Flo Rida’s number one single “Right Round”.

I’ve not heard the rest of the album yet. But with its recession proof price of $7.99, I’m going to pick it up now!

Matthew Goode is a proud papa!

Ellen Degeneres gave us a very special gift on her show today. British actor Matthew Goode visited the daytime chat show to promote two movies he currently has out on the big screen. Just released this past Friday was his romantic comedy co-starring Amy Adams entitled, Leap Year and Tom Ford’s directorial debut co-starring Colin Firth entitled A Single Man.

He shares a really funny story about first meeting Colin and about their bonding over a spray tan, spending time with his nearly one year old daughter Matilda in Ireland, his dog Maggie, and working with Tom Ford.

I watched Leap Year on Friday and though it was completely predictable it was definitely worth the watch. Matthew and Amy are both so adorable that you don’t care that you already know what is going to happen.

I have yet to see A Single Man but I hear its a “must watch.”

Piers Morgan warms up in Miami

America’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan left from chilly New York to get a little sun in Miami. The British presenter laid out with his fiance Celia Walden then later got in a bit of exercise by playing paddle ball on the beach earlier today.

I was so happy last week when Piers guest hosted the second part of the Today Show with Hoda Kotb. Kathy Lee Gifford was on vacation and I seriously did not miss her one bit. GOSH she can be so annoying! If Morgan would have taken over full time, I’d watch the show everyday.

America’s Got Talent judge David Hasselhoff has been replaced by Canadian comic Howie Mandell. The fifth season returns to televisions this summer.

Michael C. Hall being treated for cancer

Dexter star Michael C. Hall is undergoing treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphom and is on the road to recovery.

Hall, 38, said in a statement he is lucky to have been diagnosed with the “treatable and curable condition” – Hodgkin’s lymphoma – and thanked his Los Angeles-area medical team for their skill in caring for him.

His spokesman, Craig Bankey, said Hall’s cancer is in remission but the actor will continue scheduled treatments.

The 38-year-old plans to attend Sunday’s Golden Globe awards with his wife, actress Jennifer Carpenter, and the upcoming Screen Actors Guild ceremony. He’s a nominee at both awards shows for his role as a serial killer in Showtime’s Dexter.

The disease has a 90% survival rate if caught early.

Johnny Depp statue unveiled in Serbia

Johnny Depp was honored during the opening of the Third Annual Kustendorf Film festival held in Belgrade, Serbia today. The Pirates of the Caribbean star had a statue of his image presented to him by renowned Serbian director Emir Kusturica, the festivals organizer, as a mark of honor and reverence. The life size statue of Johnny was created by sculptor Dragan Nikolic Baja

Johnny was also the proud recipient of the “Award for Future Movies.”

Upon his arrival via helicopter on Tuesday, the two met with Serbian president Boris Tadic and then continued on to Drvengrad – an artificial Serbian village built by Kosturica for the filming of “Life is a Miracle,” which now serves as an uninhabited tourist attraction.

Depp “will be my guest for three days in Mecavnik (Drvengrad), he will lead several workshops for participants of the festival, drink wine, watch films and visit some locations where he will shoot a film about Pancho Villa,” Mr. Kusturica told the daily publication Blic.

The festival will wrap on January 19th.
