Josh Duhamel & Fergie are feeling a little Romantics

Lovebirds Josh Duhamel and Stacy Ferguson a.k.a. Fergie attended the premiere of his new movie The Romantics at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah today.

The Romantics is based on director Galt Neiderhoffer’s novel of the same name and centers on Laura (Katie Holmes) the maid of honor at the wedding of her former college roommate Lila (Anna Paquin) and the love of her life Tom (Josh Duhamel). The wedding features a reunion of all their friends from school who had the nickname “The Romantics.” The conflict arises from Laura and Tom’s on again/off again love affairs which Lila seems to want to ignore. The majority of the film occurs the night before the wedding as Tom starts to have second thoughts, Laura tries to come to grips with truly losing the love of her life, Lila deals with the stress of realizing Tom is having second thoughts.

The movie co-stars Elijah Wood, Malin Akerman, Jeremy Strong, Candice Bergen, and Adam Brody.

On the Scene: Josh Lucas & Kat Dennings

Filming of Daydream Nation was in full force today. Co-stars Josh Lucas and Kat Dennings shot several scenes of the romantic drama in Vancouver, Canada.

I’m so glad to see Josh filming a new movie. I swear, the last thing I saw him in was in the 2006 film Poseidon which I was not very fond of.

This Michael Goldbach film follows Kat’s character who is a disaffected high school senior who ends up in an isolated Canadian hamlet with her widowed father. She assuages her boredom by getting into an affair with a teacher, as well as a more promising intimate relationship with a local druggie.

Also on set was co-star Landon Liboiron.

Glenn Close takes a break

Emmy award winning actress Glen Close to a break in between scenes of Damages to walk her precious pups in chilly New York City today.

This season is a play off of Bernie Madoff’s recent billion-dollar Ponzi scam on Wall Street. Instead of Madoff, we find the Tobin family on the verge of ruin because their patriarch, Louis Tobin (Len Cariou), defrauded several investors. Louis’ wife Marilyn (Lily Tomlin) and their son, Joe (Scott Campbell), are left to fend for themselves against the jeering public when Louis is sent to jail. Maartin Short plays Leonard Winstone, the family’s trusted attorney who has a sarcastic tongue that you can’t help but say, “wow” at.

You can catch Damages Monday nights on FX.

Hugh Jackman hangs with Elmo

Tough guy Hugh Jackman visited one of televisions most beloved puppets Elmo this morning. The Wolverine star made a special appearance on the hit kids’ show Sesame Street.

Jackman and Elmo were teaching children about the word “concentrate.” The scene was adorable watching Jackman saying the word and Elmo repeating it and trying to “concentrate” no matter how much he was interrupted. The giggling was so contagious!

Other stars that have visited Sesame Street are footballer David Beckham, British comedian Ricky Gervais, and rapper LL Cool J.

I was a bit sad that the visit was so short but what it lacks in time it makes up for in quality. Check it out!

Mel Gibson premieres Edge of Darkness

Mel Gibson and his baby momma Oksana Grigorieva attended the premiere of his new movie, The Edge of Darkness held at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California last night.

The controversial actor sat with Jay Leno this week where he opened up about his 3-month-old daughter Lucia and how he handles when she wakes up in the middle of the night crying.

“There’s shortcuts, I guess. Earplugs, you know! “I will be honest, I would say that her mother does the lion’s share of that work, but you know, I support her.”

I think what he means is that he is paying Oksana enough money that he can’t really be bothered to get up.

In the Edge of Darkness Mel plays Thomas Craven, a homicide detective who investigates the death of his activist daughter. In the process he uncovers not only her secret life, but a corporate cover-up and government collusion that attracts an agent tasked with cleaning up the evidence.

It hits theaters this Friday.

“The beauty of this award is that it’s as permanent as anything in life these days. It can’t be misplaced or left in the ladies’ room by accident and I always get the same billing. From here on, I’ll always know where to find myself and so will other people.

“Now I don’t have to join Facebook, because when someone wants to find me, this is where I’ll be and I’ll always be here.”
