George Clooney slips to Switzerland with Elisabetta
comment 14 Written by Rosy on February 7, 2010 – 6:14 pm

Leave it to George Clooney to travel to some of the most amazing places across the globe! The Up in the Air actor jetted off to St. Moritz, Switzerland with his girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis on February 7, 2010. A friend picked him just as he landed and greeted him with a warm embrace.

Canalis was photographed walking with her very handsome Miniature Pincher wearing a red and white sweater. (Can you tell I’m the proud parent of a Min Pin also?!)

Empire Magazine recently surveyed their readers to vote for the worst movie of all time. The winner of the title belonged to the Clooney film, Batman & Robin. While I remember it being pretty bad, I’m sure there are plenty of other films that are equally as bad or maybe even worse!

I remember going to the theater when Adam Sandler starred in Punch Drunk Love and trying to convince myself not to leave after the first five minutes. Then of course their was Hugh Jackman’s The Fountain that made absolutely no sense and could have easily beat out Georgie’s Batman flop.

What do you think are some of the worst movies you’ve ever seen?

  1. Whichever those worst movies ever are, The Fountain is certainly not included in them, pal. In fact, Empire Magazine included that one in last year’s list of the 500 greatest movies of all time. Check the magazine’s site if that seems unbelievable to you. As for me, I absolutely agree that The Fountain is a great film. And I know I’m not the only one.

  2. Are you serious? I watched that movie with a couple of friends and none of us could make heads or tales out of it! When I read what the movie was supposed to be about it sounded pretty good but after I saw it I was shocked at how bad it was!

No offense to anyone who liked it but it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

  5. The only emotion ‘The Fountain’ inspired in me was a deep sadness as I realized I would never get those 96 minutes of my life back again… Bummed out is an understatement.

  6. “The Fountain” is a complex, thought-provoking, intellectual drama. . . not even in the least bit a straightfoward chick-flick which I will suppose you thought you were going to see.

But seriously, did you not get even in the slightest that there were deeper themes of “life/death”, “what does life mean”, “what happens to us after death” and all that?

    Wow.

  7. Better brush up on your intellectual appetite if you want to interview the big dogs one day. No true “artiste” will want an interview with somebody stuck on whose dating who and designer handbags.

  8. Yes Gia, I totally understood the movie I just didn’t like it. Please do not insult my intelligence. I am not insulting anyone who liked it, I just did not like it myself.

That is the good thing about films, everyone takes something different from them.

  9. Hey Gia,

I respect your opinion but you obviously know nothing about me. I have interviewed top celebrities and I can hold my own thank-you-very-much.

  10. Man, Elisabetta is one mean looking woman. I think I read she’s 34? If she looks this old already, the future does not bode well for her… looks -wise.

Clooney doesn’t look so great himself. He’s aged quite a bit. Maybe somewhat bloated too. Isn’t it too early in the day to be drunk?…

She’s seems to have drained the life out of George.

  11. You can´t be serious with The Fountain. It is now regulary appearing in the most underrated/best movies of the decade. I am not saying it´s for everybody but to place it next to that mess Batman and Robin is an insult.

  12. I’m getting a lot of flack for not liking The Fountain. I think I’m going to have to give it another shot and re-watch it.

  13. I agree 123 – George has a kind of Elvis Vegas look going on. He’s still a good looking man but he has put on weight. Maybe she is cooking up lots of pasta….I think I read she is 31.
