I am not sure that I am more excited about any other movie this year than Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood. Even though some people are questioning why Russell Crowe was chosen to play the legendary Sir Robin of Loxley, Earl of Huntington I think he was cast perfectly.
Robin Hood chronicles the life of the famous expert archer who travels to Nottingham, a town suffering from the corruption of a despotic sheriff and crippling taxation, where he falls for the widow Lady Marion.
Also cast are Cate Blanchett as Maid Marian, Matthew Macfadyen as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Danny Huston as King Richard, Mark Strong as Sir Godfrey, William Hurt as William Marshall and Scott Grimes as Will Scarlet.
The film is slated to be released on May 14, 2010.
