A blooming Amanda Peet walked the red carpet during day six of the 60th Berlin International Film Festival at the Berlinale Palast on February 16, 2010 in Berlin, Germany. She is promoting her new film entitled, Please Give.
The Nicole Holocener comedy takes place in New York City. It’s about a husband and wife (played by Oliver Platt and Catherine Keener) whose business is sustained by buying artifacts from families of the recently deceased cheaply then selling them for a lot more. Husband Alex is going through a mid-life crisis!
The couple have bought the city apartment next door, and are just waiting for its occupier, 91-year-old Andra, to die before turning their living space into something more impressive.
Andra’s two grand-daughters — gentle Rebecca and brutally bitchy Mary — are the epitome of a dysfunctional family, and the groups come together in a movie full of rapid one-liners and damaged personalities.
Peet announced her second pregnancy in early December.
