It wasn’t an easy task, but Fox accomplished the unreachable! The convinced British actor Jason Isaacs, most recognizable for his role as the evil Lucious Malfoy in the Harry Potter series, to sign up for a television pilot.
According to The Hollywood Reporter:
He has signed as the lead in the Fox drama pilot “Pleading Guilty,” lifting the contingency on the project from Peter Chernin’s company and 20th TV.A legal thriller based on Scott Turow’s book “Pleading Guilty,” about embezzlement, bookmaking, offshore banking and the politics of a high-powered law firm, “Guilty” centers on Mack (Isaacs), a cop-turned-attorney described as “a big handsome Irish lunk” who is assigned to investigate the disappearance of the firm’s star litigator.
I am having mixed feelings about this show though. Seriously, are the only two story lines available revolve around doctors and lawyers? I don’t want to complain because Isaacs is a brilliant actor and I’m super stoked he is crossing the pond.
Jason will also be starring alongside Matt Damon in the dramatic/thriller Greenzones on March 12th.
