Is it just me or does it feel like Jack Johnson has been gone for ages? When I saw these pictures of him entering BBC Radio 2 in London earlier today, I almost didn’t recognize him!!
Handsome Jack grew out his hair and is letting his facial hair grow wild. I don’t know about you guys but those curls are just adorable on him! (You can tell how excited I am to write this post by how many exclamation points I am using!)
If you missed him as much as I did you will be happy to know this handsome Hawaiian is back! He has a new cd and a brand new tour is preparing for that will catch up all the fans up on all things Jack Johnson.
“The album is called To the Sea. I guess it’s a reference to a father leading his son to the sea, with the water representing the subconscious. So it’s about trying to go beneath the surface and understand yourself,” Johnson told MTV News on Tuesday. “I have three kids … so the album is about that. It’s both me as a son of my own father and me looking down at my kids. I’m 34, right at this transition of still feeling like a child sometimes, but other times feeling like a father, and finding the father in myself. It’s all about those things.”
This Live and Loose album was recorded in just three weeks at his, Mango Tree Studios.
Just so you know who you can thank for Jack’s comeback, his wife Kim!
“I wasn’t going to do an album this year,” he explains. “My wife said it might be nice to take the kids on the road.”
You can pick up his new cd, which I am sure will be a mega hit with the fans, on June 1st.
