True Blood star Nelsan Ellis is ready for home run!
Nelsan Ellis, better known for his flamboyant character Lafayette on the HBO vampire drama True Blood has just signed up to participate in this years Vampire Baseball™ Exhibition Game!!
He is joining some of the Twilight Saga’s hunkiest guys including Alex Meraz, Chaske Spencer, Daniel Cudmore, Alexander Mendeluk, and Gavin Bristol. Also participating is New Orleans Saints Super Bowl Champ Kyle Eckel.
I know so many of you are fans of Twilight but truth be told, I’d be the most excited to meet Nelsan! I’ve made no lie about being a huge fan of Lafayette and all his antics on TB.
The Charity Baseball game will be held in New Orleans on March 20th where celebrities will “Batter Up” to play Cajun Style to benefit Haitian Relief Efforts by the American Red Cross and Hope for Haiti.
Highlights of this unique baseball adventure include watching an exhibition game, getting autographs and photos with the stars, meet and greets, and an
exciting after-party and concert. 25% of net proceeds from each celebrity baseball ticket sale will go towards these Haitian Relief organizations to support their ongoing efforts to rebuild lives destroyed by this disaster.
A portion of proceeds will also be used to support New Orleans non-profit organizations such as The Blood Center and the 9th Ward Field of Dreams. In addition to the game, The Blood Center will host an on-site blood drive.
Date: March 20, 2010.
