Join our Hero, Jimmy Jean-Louis with , The Ride 4 Haiti, in conjunction with Quantum entertainment and Skeeva will be taking place this Sunday, April 11th. Sponsored by by Chandler Harley-Davidson and Phoenix’s biker destination, proceeds will benefit Hollywood Unites For Haiti.
“Hollywood Unites For Haiti is proud to be the beneficiary of the Ride 4 Haiti: Arizona.” says Jimmy ––founder of HUFH, as well as Pan American Development Foundation’s Goodwill Ambassador for Haiti’s Children. “Only over two months after the quake, Haiti continues to suffer and is a long way from recovering. This fundraising event will provide vital support in the building of a Multidisciplinary Youth Center in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. This 12-acre sustainable village will provide homes, primary and secondary education, and mentorship in sports and arts program to 250 students from the ages of 5-18. I thank you in advance for your continued support for my country.”
During the first eight weeks after the quake, the Pan American Development Foundation, the Organization of American States, Hollywood Unites for Haiti and its partners provided support to more than 300,000 people, delivered in excess of 200 tons of supplies and united a wide range of people.
They are supporting efforts to move people out of the camps and into safe homes. At the same time, PADF has hired thousands of Haitians to remove rubble from streets and clean refuse-clogged canals. This has the double benefit of clearing public areas and providing employment. They are providing counseling to victims of violence and others traumatized by the loss of live.
Finally, they are supporting institutions that provide a safe haven to children who have been abandoned or lost their family. So much more still lies ahead.
Ride 4 Haiti: AZ will have bikers on a 40 to 50 mile ride through Tempe and Scottsdale to Cave Creek, AZ, where the activities will go on with Custom Bike Builders, Pin-Up Girl / Tattoo Contests, music and raffles throughout the whole day.
