Up until now, I have been a casual Netflix user. I depended on them every week for my new releases and the such but I don’t think it was a site I visited everyday…….
UNTIL NOW!
Let me preface this post by saying, I was not given anything from Netflix for writing this post. I am just so overjoyed with this new service that I felt I had to share it with the world!
Recently the rental-by-mail dvd service added the feature of streaming video via Nintendo Wii. Previously the streaming function was available on my computer but as I type all day on it, I rarely have time to watch full movies or television programs on it. This service has been available via the XBox 360 or Playstation 3 but I am only a casual gamer so I had no reason to invest in these other gaming units.
With the recent addition of the Wii, my life has been changed! This sounds so exaggerated but there have been so many television programs and movies that I have always wanted to watch but just did not have the time to invest in it. Now, with most of them streaming on Netflix I have taken advantage and indulged in so much.
Ok, I realize its not the best thing to sit around watching tv all day but while I’m sitting here blogging I can catch up on such shows as the Showtime hit Dexter and the defunct gem Arrested Development that I missed during the first time around.
I highly recommend both!
I’ve even watched some fantastic British programs including The IT Crowd, Black Adder, and Couplings! Doctor Who fans can find nearly every episode available to stream right now.
Packages start at $8.99 which entitles you to one movie out at a time and unlimited streaming, two dvd’s out at a time and unlimited streaming for $13.99 a month, three dvd’s and unlimited streaming for $16.99 and four dvd’s with unlimited streaming for $23.99 a month.
You don’t even need a gaming system to have video stream to your television. Certain Blu-Ray players, TiVo players, and even some internet connected televisions that can provide you with the same enjoyment I have received.
There is also an affordable Roku Digital Video Player you can purchase if your electronics are not compatible. Just make sure you check out their website to find out if you will have to purchase any other devices.
Sadly they don’t offer any new releases on streaming as of yet but I’m hoping that will change in the future.
For more information, check out their website here. THANK YOU NETFLIX!
