Doctor Who stars meet the New York media

America is ready to join the United Kingdom and welcome the eleventh Doctor Who when the show premieres on Saturday, April 17th on BBC America.

The promotional tour has brought the Doctor himself Matt Smith and his companion played by Karen Gillan to New York City. They were joined by writer Steven Moffat at the “Who’s Next? The New Era of Doctor Who” screening at the Paley Center For Media on April 12, 2010.

Its been so hard not to take a peak at the new season but all the reviews coming from across the pond show everyone has embraced the new Doctor and I have no doubt everyone in America will too.

If you live in New York City there will be a special fan event held on Thursday, April 15th where fans can join Matt, Karen and Steven at the Village East Cinema for the official premiere screening followed immediately by a Q&A moderated by USA Today’s pop culture columnist Whitney Matheson, author of the Pop Candy blog.
