AIDS Walk Miami is delighted to announce that the star of USA’s Burn Notice, Jeffrey Donovan, will serve as the official Grand Marshal of the 22nd Annual AIDS Walk Miami – RUN, WALK, BLADE For The Cure. Following in the footsteps of past AIDS Walk Miami Grand Marshal celebrities like Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Sylvester Stallone, Cindy Crawford, Rosie O’Donnell and Antonio Sabato Jr., this year Jeffrey Donovan will add his own brand of star power to South Florida’s largest family fundraising walk-a-thon.
The event, which will take place on the morning of Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 9 am, will be held in and around Miami Beach’s historic Art Deco district. Participants are asked to raise money through pledges and will be able to participate either by walking, running or blading through the palm-lined streets of the American Riviera – beginning at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Funds raised from AIDS WALK Miami will be used by Care Resource to provide HIV/AIDS services to the more than 15,000 men, women and children the agency serves on an annual basis. Since 1988 more than 5,000 men, women and children annually collect pledges and walk as a team or individually.
