In the year 2000, a hip hop classic was born and a new dynamic duo introduced to the world. Although Hi-Tek and Talib Kweli had collaborated before, the duo formed Reflection Eternal and released their highly acclaimed debut album, Train of Thought in 2000.
Now, ten years later, the duo is back with the album Revolutions Per Minute, to be released next week, May 18. (But you can pre-order it now!)
You can check out the video for their single “Midnight Hour” featuring Estelle here:
I don’t know about you but this song is hot and the video is just as dope. Reflection Eternal hooked up with Estelle and made a hit that’s sure to take over the airwaves across the country.
I’ve been a longtime Talib Kweli fan and when he connects with Hi-Tek, its always music to our ears. After a long anticipated reconnection, I think Revolutions Per Minute is going to be another classic album brought to you by Reflection Eternal. Make sure you pick up the album when it drops on May 18, and if you are interested in seeing Reflection Eternal live, check out these tour dates and join them in a city near you. I know I hope they add some dates that include Miami so I don’t miss this duo in action.
