Joe Jonas is joining Matt Lucas in an off-Broadway production of the hit Broadway show at the O2 Arena. Lucas, comedian and Little Britain star, in the role of Thenardier, with Jonas playing Marius.
Celebrating it’s 25th anniversary, three different versions of the show will be preformed in London.
The Barbican, the original home of the play, and the Queen’s Theatre are the other two venues that it will be playing in.
The O2 production will include members of the original cast –- Lea Salonga for one –– along with Alfie Boe, Gary Barlow’s and Camilla Kerslake.
Not actually surprised that the boy band member is following in his brother Nick’s steps into musical theatre; former play credits for him includes A Christmas Carol, Annie Get Your Gun, and Beauty and the Beast.
As long as it’s not Camp Rock, we’re good.
Tickets for Les Misérables go on sale on the 6th of this month from here.

This would be great if you had the right brother. Nick Jonas is the brother who did all of those productions on Broadway. And Nick is the brother that is now doing Les Miserables.
matt lucas is awesome!!!
OOOpppppsss!!!! Blooper. Wrong Jonas brother. It’s the curly-haired li’l Gavroche then, NICK. And, you should not have used the word off-Broadway here. It is nowhere locally presented outside Broadway’s Manhattan Theatre District hence the term off-Broadway is wrong. Because this would be in the West End and not to be shown in New York’s Broadway does not classify this as an “off-Broadway” production.
Oh, and Nick is following his own footsteps though. LOL
You guys are right; so sorry! Joe was in La bohème. Really sorry I confused them -fixed now.
Okay… First joe jonas did Les misrebles. not nick. Joe will be doing this off broadway production… Both Nick and joe did broadway when they were younger.. nick did more though. joe did less time on the stage… this is a great opportunity for joe to act on stage at age 20…. Earlier in life joe did this production… y not give him another chance at watching him perform this another time… when he already had expierience with this production first… nick does alot … joe doesn’t let joe have a name for himself instead of knowing him as joe jonas from the jonas brothers and known as nick jonas’ older brother. its basically correct for joseph to do this.
It is NICK JONAS not Joe. Nick is the talented one of the brothers.
Juliee, NICK was Gavroche in Les Miz. And it is still NICK who will be playing Marius in the 25th Anniversary Concert in London. What are you talking about? Here, read for yourself and don’t forget to watch the video: http://www.25.lesmis.com/cast-and-creatives/nick-jonas/
Ok, Juliee, Joe and Nick did both do Broadway. Nick was in A Christmas Carol, Beauty and the Beast, The Sound of Music, Annie Get Your Gun, AND Les Miserables. Joe was in La Boheme and Oliver. Nick is the one playing Marius in the production in London. He just arrived there a couple days ago and just had his first day of rehearsals. Also, Joe Jonas is known outside of the Jonas Brothers and not known as just Nick’s older bro. He’s done plenty of things outside of his brothers, they each have. You need to get your facts straight.
“Off Broadway” is a specific term for a specific echelon of New York theatre. That’s why there’s such a thing as “off-off Broadway,” because even within New York there is theatre that isn’t on Broadway but which doesn’t qualify as “Off Broadway.” This show is going up in London, it’s the wrong Continent to be “Off Broadway,” and it’s an insult to West End theatre (the London parallel of Broadway) to dismiss it as “not Broadway” (which seems to be how you’re misusing the term).
