During a Comic-Con signing today, author Max Brooks said that Brad Pitt will officially be staring in World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War. Personally, I hope he is going to be playing a zombie. How cool would that be? But, the A-Listers are always fighting the zombies, never playing them…
Plan B Entertainment bought the rights to World War Z a while back, but no details were ever released on what they would be doing with the piece. In addition to the one optioned by Pitt’s Plan B, Paramount has optioned two other books by Brooks: The Zombie Survival Guide and The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks. Zombies are totally the new vampire. (But, I hope no one takes that to mean True Blood should be going anywhere, what would we do without Eric and Alcide??)
